A valuable lesson learned...

I've had a backache for over a month now, after a very short bit of moving not-very-heavy-at-all things around in the basement. After the usual routine of ice and heat and gentle stretching failed to do anything, I gave in and went to the doctor on Monday, who suggested an MRI to find out what's going on.
The MRI was scheduled for this afternoon. During various phases of scheduling and consultation, I was repeatedly asked if I was claustrophobic. I jokingly replied "I don't know yet, I'll let you know" but I was pretty sure I'd be okay.
It turns out I'm claustrophobic. After an hour of sitting around and waiting because they were running late, after multiple run-throughs of "Do you have a pacemaker? Removable dental work? Metal in your clothing?", they got me an entire three inches into the machine before I Just. Freaked. Out.
Now to find an "Open MRI" place and try this again.
