Tonight, John and I took our niece and nephew to see our favorite basketball team, the Washington Generals. The Generals played well and put up a good fight, but in the end they lost again. It's okay, though, as Hanna and Nick, along with most of the crowd, were rooting for the opposing team.
Still, I hold out hope that the Generals will bounce back from this loss and win a few. After 29 years of losing, they're due, right?
Regardless of the game's outcome, we all enjoyed the show, and John and I made sure to fulfill our role as Best Uncle and Best Aunt by sugaring the kids up thoroughly before dropping them off at home-- dessert with dinner before the game, plus cotton candy and Icees at the game. I'm sure Lisa and Andy will appreciate the extra effort on our part.
