Quick pool: what part of the movie do you think of when you hear "Old Yeller"?

Now, on reflection, it's a sweet movie about a faithful companion. But my instinctive reaction is to jump straight to the ending, and thus I don't ever think of it as a happy movie.

Which is why I shook my head in disbelief in the grocery store when I saw:



I can only assume that the marketing genius behind this branding has never actually seen the movie.

Hee, yeah, that was making the rounds of all the "stupid pet owners" communities back when it first came out.

Ironically enough, the ingredients in it really aren't very good quality, either...
