I'm so glad I'm old

The Shanegang Christmas party was fun, but I was reminded of how lovely it is to no longer be young. My friends and I no longer feel that we must have a drama-filled split over different life goals, and it's no longer necessary to completely snub someone who is going through a rough time and doesn't want to hang out quite as often. Also? On the rare ocassions that there is a split, it's not necessary to rub each other's noses in how we're no longer friends, nor loudly and pointedly complain about how we've been snubbed.

Sometimes it feels like it would be nice to be 20 years younger, until I encounter people who are 20 years younger.
