In which Amanda says "enough"

I was supposed to go over to my mom's house today, because some of the shingles blew off, and I wanted to call the insurance company while I was looking at the damage, so that when they asked me questions about the damage I had some idea of the answers.
That got derailed, when I couldn't find the policy number on the insurance. I know the house is insured, because the insurance company happily takes money out of my bank account each month, but I had none of the relevant numbers on hand.
So I called K and said "uh, how about tomorrow, so I can spend today tearing my house apart while looking for the policy number." I found it around 12:30, but by then I was so far into an "I've had enough of this crap" mindset that I opted not to call K back and go over this afternoon, but to instead spend more time dealing with things that are not where they belong.
So far, I've emptied out five filing folders that were full of no-longer-relevant papers, and scanned a half-dozen things that were in my way. I took a break to call up a few people and close accounts (or try to anyway; I've got paperwork to fill out now), which led to calling a few more people that needed to be called (two follow-up doctor's appointments made for next week). Then my label-maker ran out of tape, and that was the last straw for paper sorting for a bit. I've just got back from a Staples+Meijer run to pick up more label-maker tape, doorstops (now that it's cooler, we have the windows open and the air off, which makes most of the doors in the house slam open and shut all *censored* day, which irritates me), a mattress pad and pillowcases for CJ to try to contain the dust that he's allergic to, bleach to try to kill the mold that everyone's allergic to, curtain rods for the office curtains (which haven't fit on the old rods since the new windows were put in), and a couple of things on the "pick up when you get a chance" list that aren't "enough of this crap!" related.
Next up is wandering around with the drill and putting up all the bits and pieces that I've bought, but not gotten around to installing. I probably won't get to ALL of them, because I do have a back to think about, but progress is progress. Then there will be more scanning. Oh yes, there will be scanning.
