Last night I got six, count 'em, SIX straight hours of sleep. Considering that my normal sleeping mode these days is two or three hours asleep, then awake for one and a half to two and a half hours, and then another hour or two of sleep, six hours all in a row is nothing short of a miracle.
Today, I conquered the world. Okay, maybe not quite the ENTIRE world. But armed with a smidgen of actual energy, I did manage to: finish up and mail out Mom's long-term disability paperwork, overnight-mail yet another damned check to the Cobra people (they claim to have not gotten the first one, and I really really need her to have insurance for this hospital stay, so when the first one finally reappears it can just go towards the December payment at this point), wash two loads of laundry, clean out the kitty litter, fix Julianna's cell phone, start the process to port my old cell number to my new cell phone (which seems have died midway through, so that now I have no functional cell phone at all... not everything worked out exactly as planned today), get my hair cut, see my chiropractor, buy more pop and candy for the office, buy more pop and toilet paper for the house, and visit my mother-- twice, since the first time we showed up she'd been sent off for tests.
All in all, a decent day.
Quote of the day:
Me: Okay, I'm off to conquer the world *leaves* *returns three minutes later* World conquered, I'm going back to bed.
In reality, I came back because I'd realized I'd forgotten one of the things I needed to mail, but it seemed more entertaining to me this way. Sadly, John has no sense of humor.
