Weekend to ourselves

amanda_loddenBy sheer luck and well-timed travels, John and I have had the house all to ourselves this weekend.
Of course, there are a ton of things I want to get done "while there's no one to get in the way." Of course, I sat in front of my computer instead. But today I did manage to clean out the freezer, which has always been a bit problematic in a household full of people who go grocery shopping for themselves-- every time I decide "okay, we're going to eat things out of the freezer to reduce the number of things to take out for cleaning" there's someone who doesn't get the memo and does a big shopping run. (In all fairness, sometimes the shopper is me.)
John and I ate freezer stuff all day Friday and Saturday morning, I stuffed as much as I could into the freezer downstairs (which isn't much; it also needs to be cleaned out), and that gave me enough wiggle room to properly clean out the freezer, including the... raspberry sorbet? big glass of red koolaid? strawberry margarita?... whatever the heck the red semi-creamy stuff on the bottom of the freezer was, it's gone now.
Now I've got one of the rescued icepacks on my back, because that was a lot more bending that I had expected. I wasn't prepared for the red goo to be so tenacious.
But dammit, the freezer is finally cleaned out.
