I agree on the fifth book of Hitchhiker's and the first two books of Discworld. I like Rincewind, but I like his later adventures a lot more than the first two.
Have you listened to the Radio shows for Hitchhiker's Guide or Discworld? They're pretty good, I could get you some copies.
