You know how we have a birthday party every year?

We're having one this year, too. Shocking, I know.

When: July 3, 2010
Where: Our house. If you don't know where that is, email or call

Showing up before 2pm will get you put to work cleaning. We'll probably go to bed around midnight. In between that, it's party time!

You bring: You. If you're reading this, you're invited.

Optionally, you bring: Your spouse and/or significant other(s), your children, random people you think we'd like if only we got to know them, alcohol you wish to consume, Pepsi products if you refuse to drink Coke products, fireworks (of the legal variety and of a strength not likely to annoy the entire neighborhood, please), a swimsuit and towel for each person. If your kids aren't fully potty-trained, Little Swimmers for them. (Diapers are NOT acceptable. Other types of fully-waterproof pants are.)

We provide:
Hamburgers & buns
Hot dogs & buns
Munchies, side dishes, condiments, etc etc.
Pop (Coke products)
A pool
A Nintendo Wii
A Playstation 3
A Playstation 2
Board games
Cards
Hospitality

I don't ask for RSVPs or for side dishes to be brought, which means I never know how many people I'm feeding. I deal with it by buying an entire summer's worth of food and storing anything left over, so if you really really want tons of potato salad or macaroni salad or something else that doesn't store well, please bring it (we'll have *some*, just not gallons of it) and we'll love you forever. If you just can't bear coming to a party without bringing that dish you're famous for, then we'll put it out for all to enjoy and we'll love you forever. If you can't be bothered to bring anything, we'll love you forever anyway, 'cause that's just how we roll.

Our liquor cabinet is open to all, but I don't buy anything we don't drink ourselves, because it never gets finished off and then I have to either throw out perfectly good booze or trip over it until I can pass it off on someone else. Notably, we don't drink much beer. If you want it, bring it.

[When this propagates to Facebook, I plan to tag people. FB will only let me tag a limited number of people, though, so it will be limited to people that I know don't read Livejournal and that I don't have email addresses for. Don't feel left out if you don't get tagged.]
