I really really hate it when people put things "away" for me.

Mind you, I'm not talking about the times when I say "I desperately need help, please come over and move things around for me." No, what I'm talking about it when I put something in its proper place, and someone else comes along and decides that place is weird or wrong, and moves the item in an attempt to help.

Sometimes the culprit is Gail when she cleans, and that boils down to needing to have a discussion about how much stuff we WANT to keep out on the counter, even if she wouldn't. Most times, it's a roommate. Most times, it's not John, because I've yelled at him enough for doing it years ago that he's pretty much afraid to touch anything (which has backfired on me, as now he's also afraid to put things away if they started out out-of-place).

My toilet brush is missing. In addition to the ones that are stored in or near bathrooms, I keep one in the basement near the laundry room. It's useful for cleaning out tall things that are difficult to reach all the way into, like trash cans or storage containers or whatever. Only there's not one in the basement anymore, something I discovered AFTER I filled the trash can with soap and water.
