Contact management

Since sleep is not currently an option, I'm cleaning up my contact lists (something I've wanted to do for a long time).

I have mixed feelings about how I manage contacts. On one hand, I really like Plaxo's ability to update itself without my effort. On the other hand, I can't update Gmail with information from Plaxo, and Gmail is how I send email.

So, at the moment, I have some contact information that made it into Plaxo but not Gmail, and some that made it into Gmail but not Plaxo. This annoys me.

Suggestions on a better method are welcome.
