I'm just resting my eyes
Feb. 19th, 2008 06:46 pmWhen my great-grandfather was caught napping, he used to claim that he wasn't sleeping, he was "just resting his eyes."
That's how I feel lately-- I'm not sleeping, I'm just resting my eyes. The difference between my great-grandfather and I is that I'm really not sleeping. Again.
Really, this is getting old.
This time, the culprit is the antibiotic prescribed for my sinus infection. One of the potential side effects is insomnia. Of course, it's the side effect I got. Although I spend eight to ten hours in bed every night (plus an hour or two napping during the day), most of the time I'm just lying there with my eyes closed, hoping that I might fall asleep for a little while.
On the plus side, it's ten days of antibiotics instead of six weeks like last time.
